food coma

Today was lunch with Iain, a good friend of mine who moved back to Toronto this weekend. He'd been living in Vancouver, but business called him back here. He seems kind of grumpy about the change in weather. I don't blame him one bit.

We went to Terry's, which quite possibly has the best chicken and pierogies ever. Ok, not as good at the ones in Poland (I would love to be able to put a link to my Aug 12, 2004 entry where I talk about eating pierogi in Poland, but I'm an html moron newbie) but still, pretty darn good. And it's a bit of a tradition with us. So, we went to Terry's gorged ourselves on chicken sandwiches and pierogies, and then went over to Dufflet for pastries across the street. I had the most to DIE for Meringue Cherry Cheesecake. Seriously, I didn't think I could eat another bite after Terry's, but I was practically licking the plate.

I resisted the urge to visit Romni since it's only a few doors down from Terry's. It was tough, but I managed. I have WAY too many unfinished knitting projects to even consider buying more yarn at the moment. Hopefully I'll get some solid knitting done tonight when Dani comes over for Knitting and Apprentice Night. I don't know what I'll be working on- I have a felted purse to be finished, and I need to finish off my ribby cardi too. Or Rogue, the project that will never be completed. Dani (the queen of click) will be bringing over her digital camera again, so maybe there will even be pictures tomorrow!
