Down in the boondocks
Last night I planned on having a tame night in, go to bed early etc. I had dinner at the hostel after spending a lovely hour sitting in the sun by the river with some fellow travellers. Then we started in on the beer (one dollar each from a serve-yourself fridge) and before I knew it it was midnight and I had a room full of new friends! So many cool people here: a few Aussies, a Kiwi, some americans, a few canadians. Even one Slovak, so I got to practice some Slovak on him.
Vera is taking very good care of me. The book was right, she really does know everyone's name! And she is an amazing cook.
The hostel is just a wee bit too far from town though, so me and a fellow traveller (Scott, from Oz, don't worry, not from Birmingham) are trying to book something closer. If not, I would love to stay on here, so we'll see. Either way, I'll probably stay here in the couple of days at the end of my trip. It's so peacefull and friendly and relaxing...would definitely more suit the end of a trip than the beginning.
Gotta run to call the new place!
Janvo: Awesome to hear from you! I have lots of film (thanks Dani) so I'll get to work on those spires this afternoon.
Jill: Schmanzy Schmear...alrighty, I'll do my best!
Dani: It's 6 hours ahead of Toronto.

Hey Hun
Glad to hear that you are getting some relaxation in and also meeting some new people. I would tell you "I told you so", but I will be nice. :)
If you get any good pictures of the spires, we should get them enlarged for your apartment.....how very, worldly!
