Aaaack

It's supposed to be -24 in Dryden when I arrive. Isn't that fun? Good thing I've got my new boots!

I'm going slightly mental trying to fit everything I could possibly need in 6 weeks into two relatively teensy bags. I've also had the added stress of realizing that this laptop I'm going to be taking with me won't connect to the internet. It needs drivers, so says my friend Iain. So, while I'm downtown doing banking, phone card buying, and getting my hair cut, I'll be stopping by his office to have him save the day. God, let him be able to save the day.

Dani and her man are coming over tonight, and they're bringing Swiss Chalet with them, the darlings. I'm hoping Dani will help restrain me in the amount of yarn I'm bringing with me. Why do I somehow doubt she's the right woman for that particular job? Ah well. It will be the last time to hang out them in 6 weeks. *sniff sniff*

I fly out tomorrow at 10 am. Away from sushi, starbucks, my cozy little apartment. Life is an adventure isn't it?

Hi Sweetie,
Travel safe and try not to freeze up there. Just think, by the time you get back home, Spring should be here (Please God) Knowing you, you will make a bunch of new friends. Have a great experience. Love Dani's Mom.

Ah, my mom. :)

Yes, I am the wrong person for the yarn job. But I am the right person to take it to the post office and mail it to you. Yes I am.

But it is ok. You are not going. Just keep repeating this

I have to tell you that I am having so much fun "watching" you go from city mouse to country mouse! I giggle when I think that you're going to be more rural than I am! Starbucks is only a one hour drive for me...hehe!

Have fun, life is an adventure. You'll have a great experience, and lots of great stories to tell!
