work winds down

They've finally hired someone at work to replace me, and training has started today.  So the feeling of winding down here is starting to hit me.  The fact that I only have to wake up for work for 3 more mornings is heaven!

Still haven't heard back from any hostels.  I hope I won't be homeless...I may try to book over the phone again tonight.

I did arrange for my travel insurance yesterday.  I was sort of waffling over whether or not to get it, but my practical side prevailed.  For around $85 I have peace of mind that for the month I'm travelling, I am covered for any doctors visits, hospital stays, or anything else that (knock wood) will DEFINITELY not happen.  It's pretty comprehensive.  They even pay for my body to be shipped home if I die!  Or, if I'm sick in the hospital, they'll pay to fly someone to come and keep me company.

I'm starting to do laundry and put stuff aside that I think I'll be taking with me.  So, not packing exactly, but pre-packing.  REAL packing starts this saturday.

Well, you will definately have someone to help you pack this weekend. Although that could be dangerous because I am known to be one that overpacks! But I will do my best to make sure that I tell you what you really need. And I will walk around the block with you while you try out your bag!
